Central Park Schenectady, 18×24, Oil on Masonite, Schenectady, New York, 2008. Inspiration: The rose garden is one of my favorite aspects of living in Schenectady County. While sharing one last visit with my sister this past month before her two year stay in Sudan, I was able to paint this by her side.
I’m rather sad, yet proud, as she is boarding her plane today. If all goes well, teachers with very little education will be educated as educators. This is the first school a remote and small people group has ever had. You can follow her adventure on Lori’s Blog.
