The deepest implications of the Incarnation come from the fact that it never ends. If the Son of God only had to identify with humanity for 33 years, I imagine the task to be bearable. Not easy, but bearable.
We have every reason to believe that God the Son is still human. He resurrected and ascended in bodily form, and we’re also told he established the pattern from which all humanity is to follow. This is much more than a theological technicality, its a sign of his enduring love. God is still with us. He is always “Immanuel.”
