Oscar Muriu on Sacrifice

Are the things you’re living for, worth Christ’s dying for?  II Corinthians 5:14-20 – v 14 says that Christ died so that people would no longer live for themselves.  But selfishness permeates Christianity – it’s all about what Christ can do for you – help your marriage, your kids, your finances, your purpose.  God wants to intensely bless us, but the purpose of my life doesn’t revolve around me.  God wants to involve you in his plans, for your life.  To gain anything, you have to give something up.

Hebrew 10:38-39 – we are not among those who shrink back; we live by faith.

We live by the passionate desire to say yes – to dye for the calling God gives.
