Prayer is the other half of the dialog with God.  While he speaks to us through the Bible, we are able to speak with him through prayer.

Like any conversation or relationship, prayer is destined to be dynamic.  Sometimes you will find it filled with sorrow, or even fear.  Other times it will be praise and celebration.

The most important, unifying, and directing aspect of prayer is that God intended us to continue the work of Jesus through it.  In Jesus’ final evening with his eleven best friends, before death and resurrection, he said, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”  Like a proxy statement or final will and testament, Jesus essentially says, “Finish what I’ve started, and I’ll give you anything and everything from my estate to get you there.”
